Providence man stabbed outside Elmwood nightclub Sunday Featured

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- A Providence man stabbed in the stomach Sunday morning outside an Elmwood club is recovering at Rhode Island Hospital, the police said.
Rafael Paulino, 21, was listed in "good condition" Monday morning, a hospital spokesman said.
The police were called to Ada' s Creation, at 1137 Broad St., around 2:30 Sunday morning for a report of several fights in front of the nightclub.
Witnesses told the police a man, later identified as Paulino, had been stabbed and taken to Rhode Island Hospital.
The case is being referred to city Board of Licenses, which last month suspended the nightclub's license for three days and fined it $4,000 for an incident on New Year's Eve. The club is to close Thursday through Saturday for the suspension.
